Sandeep Naik founded Green Hope in 2007 to promote environmental awareness and initiate an ethical relationship between nature and citizens. He did not stress merely on planting but to ensure in a rapidly growing concrete jungle. Through Green Hope Sandeep Naik involved the participation of small and big industries in a big way, schools and colleges, government organizations and NGOs, social and political leaders and professionals from all walks of life to participate in his 2 lakh trees planting drive this year. Through Green Hope Sandeep Naik is surely attempting to orchestrate environmental harmony for nature’s symphony with Navi Mumbai.

Practice examination for Marathi medium SSC students”



This year, the practice exam was conducted for Marathi medium students. Next year onwards, the practice exam will be conducted for SSC as well as HSC students, belonging to both, Marathi and English mediums.”
The president of Navi Mumbai Shikshan Sankul and the Standing Committee chairman Sandeep Naik said, “This year’s SSC board examination is based on a new syllabus. Hence, it was necessary to conduct such practice examinations.”

NMMC Standing Committee Chairman Sandeep Naik , the issue of swine flu and the steps needed to tackle the same at NMMC level were taken up for discussion.

As soon as Standing Committee Chairman Sandeep Naik walked in the standing committee meeting hall, Namdeo Bhagat gave way to the Chairman. Chairman Sandeep Naik shared with members why he and the Commissioner called late by 15 minutes. He acknowledged the fact that Chairman Sandeep Naik proposed discussions on swine flu first.

In his conclusion, Chairman Sandeep Naik addressed the criticality of swine flu and the need to impart the right information to the corporators and citizens to ensure that fear was not created but at the same time precautions were taken. He said that it was needed that the corporation should have its own stock of medicines and masks for swine flu for any emergency.

He added that they would call for a special meeting for corporators so that they were educated on the disease and its precautions. Chairman Sandeep Naik informed that corporators have to play mediators between NMMC administration and citizens. He added that the NMMC had a system to take any critical case for test and diagnosis to Kasturba Hospital. The Chairman has also advised the administration to begin a help desk at the NMMC hospitals and medical center with toll free numbers for ensuring the right communication of the disease to citizens.

green hope, Navi Mumbai


Earlier, explaining the perspective of the programme, Chairman of Green Hope, Sandeep Naik said,”Last year we planted 1, 00,000 trees and ensured 75% survival rates. This year, we have doubled the target. We will continue to plant trees till every square in of open space is greened.” He invited one and all to come and collect plant s of their choice for the purpose of planting.
The organization has prepared 16 varieties of saplings including Raintree, Gulmohur, Kadamba, Limbu, Suru, Jambul, Badam, Accacia, saptaparni, awala,parijaat, Bakul and bel.

Two of the most awaited proposals of constructing 100 beds Mother Child Care Hospitals in Airoli and Nerul was sanctioned at the weekly NMMC Standing

The NMMC is finally going to begin construction of two 100 beds Mother Child Hospitals in Airoli and Vashi. The proposals for the same were sanctioned at the weekly Standing Committee meet. Both the hospitals will be constructed by Supreme Infrastructure India Ltd. The 100 beds Mother – Child Care Hospital in Sector 15, Nerul will be constructed at a cost of Rs. 33 Crores 74 lacs 83 Thousand 539 in a time period of 28 months. While the 100 beds Mother – Child Care Hospital in Sector 3, Airoli will be constructed by Supreme Infrastructure India Ltd. for Rs. 34 Crores 69 lacs 15 thousand 455 in a time period of 20 months.
